Participation in the Association
All individuals who decide to pursue the goals of the association and comply with its charter can join the association without any discrimination. Participants have equal rights and equal responsibilities.
Any and all reprimands, restrictions, or exclusions must be justified and strictly related to the necessity of achieving the social promotion goals proposed by the association.
Both individuals and third-sector organizations or other non-profit organizations can be participants in the association, provided that the number of such participants does not exceed 50% (fifty percent) of the total number of participants in the Social Assistance Associations.
The number of participants is not limited. The participants of the Association include the founders, individuals, and non-profit organizations who commit to contributing to the realization of the Association’s goals. Participation in the Association is not limited by time and includes the right to leave the association at any moment by personal choice.
Criteria for Admission and Exclusion of Association Participants
Admission as a participant, approved by the Board of Directors, is granted upon the submission of a special written application by interested parties, which includes a commitment to comply with this charter and any provisions and decisions made by the Association’s bodies.
The Board of Directors is responsible for entering new participants into the register after they pay the annual fee and are simultaneously issued a certificate.
Any denial of an application must always be justified and communicated in writing; the applicant who is not admitted has the right to appeal against this decision within thirty days from the date of its publication at the first meeting of participants that will be convened.
In the case of an application for participation in the Association by minors, it must be signed by the parents or guardians.
For minor participants, the right to vote in the assembly is allowed only regarding decisions that cannot entail any responsibility, including material, until they reach the age of 18, through the exercise of parental responsibility.
In the case of an application from entities that are not individuals, it must be submitted by the legal representative of the entity seeking participation.
Participant status is lost in the case of:
- Withdrawal from the association;
- Non-payment of the fee for one year (or if three months have passed since the reminder).
Exclusion from the association due to:
- Behavior contrary to the goals of the Association;
- Systematic violations of statutory obligations, any rules, and decisions made by the Association’s bodies;
- Death.
The decision to exclude participants is made by the Board of Directors. In any case, before proceeding with exclusion, the charges against the participant must be communicated to them in writing, so they have the right to respond. The excluded participant has the right to appeal the measure within thirty days of its notification at the first meeting of participants, which will be convened. Until the date of the second Assembly, this provision is considered suspended. Exclusion takes effect upon entry into the participant register and after the decision is approved by the Assembly, which ratified the exclusion measure adopted by the Board of Directors.
A decision to withdraw from the Association must be communicated to the Association in writing.
The Board of Directors will take note of this at its next useful meeting.
Withdrawal or exclusion of a participant is recorded by the Board of Directors in the Association’s participant register. A withdrawn or excluded participant is not entitled to a refund of contributions paid. Contributions are non-transferable and non-revaluable.
